

Abe Beachy (94) of Sarasota, Florida peacefully passed away in his home on September 14, 2025. He was born December 2, 1930, in Plain City, Ohio to parents Jonas E. and Amanda (Kramer) Beachy, both of whom preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Yutzy) Beachy, his stepmother, Sarah (Schlabach) Beachy, and his brothers: Alvin, Joe, Simon, Freeman, and Marvin Beachy.
Abe is survived by his three children, Vernon Ray Beachy, Karen Beachy, and Roger (Michelle) Beachy; step-grandchildren Deana Anderson, James Anderson, Elise Anderson, Felica Blanton, Sasha Beshears, and his sister, Mabel (Beachy) Sommers.
Abe was a farmer in Ohio, as well as the first Business Manager for Rosedale Bible College, until the family moved to Sarasota in 1972. His working career included aluminum work, co-owning an auto repair shop, managing restaurants, and taking care of elderly people.
Abe was a member of Sarasota Community Church where for many years he taught Sunday School classes and was part of the Visitation Committee.
Abe was the ultimate family man with a quick-wit and great laugh. His biggest joy, other than being married to Martha, was riding motorcycles. He loved to talk about riding and the trips he took with his sons. He also displayed an amazing resilient spirit, even when facing illness the last several years. He was loved and will be missed.
Events as follows:
Family will receive friends at Sarasota Community Church (4041 Bahia Vista St) on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
Internment will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00am at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home (170 Honore Ave). A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00am at Sarasota Community Church.
