

Arlene Nita Lansky, aged 83, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Born on February 16, 1942, in Bronx, New York, she was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of kindness and loyalty.
Arlene's educational journey began at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, New York, followed by her pursuit of an education degree at Kean College, with additional studies at Queens College. Her professional and personal life was marked by a profound commitment to education and the betterment of others.
Arlene was deeply involved in her religious community, participating actively in the Sisterhoods at Temple Ohav Shalom in Marlboro, NJ, and Temple B'nai Abraham in Livingston, NJ. She was also a member of B'nai B'rith in both Marlboro and Livingston, NJ, and continued her involvement serving as GSR for Al-Anon in Sarasota, FL.
Her hobbies reflected her rich inner life and love for culture. Arlene was a voracious reader, an avid writer of poetry, and had a deep appreciation for art. She enjoyed playing bridge and mah jong, activities that allowed her to engage with friends and community members in meaningful ways. She loved to travel, exploring the world alongside her husband.
Arlene leaves behind her loving husband, Fred Lansky, and their children: Richard Lansky (Ann), Glen Lansky (Janine), and Stephen Lansky. She was a proud grandmother to Jordan Lansky Ciena (Miguel), Kyle Lansky, and Noah Lansky, and a great-grandmother to Sophie Ciena. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sally Greenblatt Bachrach and George Bachrach, and her brother Bernard Bachrach.

The Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL, is overseeing the arrangements. Arlene's generosity and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
