She was born in Jamaica, NY.
She was Past Matron of the Orchid Chapter of the Eastern Star and involved with Rainbow Girls and Demolay. She was also a member of the Panama Canal Society and Museum.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband 51 years, Thomas Peterson, in 2006; brother, Thomas Denier; and parents, Thomas and Gladys Denier. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Carol (Victor) Krueger, Diane Pearson and Elaine (Mike) Little; and grandchildren, Tom, Christine, Sid, Jason, Eric, Chimere, Kristle, Michelle and Tim.
Funeral Service will be Oct 27 at 2pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, Sarasota. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the Brain Injury Association of America or the Panama Canal Museum. She will be greatly missed.
