Carol Moses Benigno, 88, passed away on February 10, 2015. She was born in Cedartown, GA in 1926, grew up in Lakeland, FL, and moved to Sarasota in 1953. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Salvatore (Scotti) Benigno; her parents, the RT. Rev. and Mrs. William F. Moses, former Rector of Church of the Redeemer; her sister, Connie Braly and niece, Kathy Braly. Carol was a registered nurse. A member of the Church of the Redeemer for 62 years. A member of the FL. Nurses Assoc., private duty registry, Lakeland High Reunion Committee, and was writing a family history book of stories. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bob Hammond; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Marnie Benigno; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Ann Moses; granddaughter and husband, Kate and Tom Reaume; grandson, Matthew Hammond and great-grandchildren, Ben, Jon, and Hannah Reaume; nephews, Tom Braly and Keith Moses; niece, Jennifer Moses. Services will be held at the Church of the Redeemer on Friday, March 6, at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park following the services.
