

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 6th at 1:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM until the time of service at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Park.
Survivors include 9 of her 11 children. Clinton DuBois, Dawn Weber, and Lennita DuBois of Knoxville, TN; Del DuBois of Parrish, FL; Susan DuBois, Hoyt Brawn, Esther Hopper and Curtis Brawn of Sarasota, FL; and Edie Pintar of Maryville, TN; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sibling Robert Morris; and countless cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Charene DuBois; son Tim Brawn; granddaughter Cynthia Megahan; grandson Christopher DuBois; and sister Betty Sarver.
Born and raised in Sarasota, Cynthia proudly served Sarasota County as one of the first female Sheriff deputies and retired as a Sergeant supervising the Sarasota County Civil Division. She received countless letters of accommodation for her service and taught Diversity to new recruits. Along with her family, Cynthia's greatest passion was quilting. She loved sharing her craft with others and won several awards from the Foothills Quilters Guild. Her love and commitment to family and Sarasota County will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
