

Demetrios “Jimmy” Manolis, 62, passed away on August 1, 2023 at home in Parrish, Florida, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 9, 1960 in Winchester, MA to Dean and Eleftheria (Baloure) Manolis.
He grew up in Watertown, MA and graduated from Minuteman Vocational School in Lexington, MA with a major in Plumbing. He became a Master Plumber and was President/Owner of D.M. Plumbing and Heating Co, Inc, in Belmont, MA, for 37 years. Doctor of the Pipes he was known as and the Best Honest Plumber of All Time (BOAT).
He was a devoted husband and father and the family enjoyed many adventures together from their home on Cape Cod, to their boat on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. His memberships included the Boston Chapter of HOG, lifetime member of the NRA and many plumbing associations. The family recently relocated to Florida to follow their dream.
Lighting up a room with his smile, easy demeanor, and giggle laugh was part of his charm.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Valerie L. Manolis (Vloitos) and his beloved daughter Leah V. Manolis.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 7671 Lockwood Ridge Road, in Sarasota. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Palms Memorial Park, in Sarasota.
