He was a devoted father and grandfather, proudly known for his love of faith and family, his military service in the United States Navy, sports and health and fitness.
Don is survived by his loving companion, Connie McCarthy, his sisters, Nancy Colussi and Susan Kruse, his three children, Debbie Kruse Tang, Lisa Kruse Hathcoat and Jeff Kruse, his 6 grandchildren, a great grandchild, and many family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Dorothy Kruse, and his brother Dan Kruse.
A Military Service will be held on May 1, 2026 at the Sarasota National Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held on May 2, 2026 at the Sarasota City YMCA.
