

She is survived by her husband Mark of 49 years and daughter Whitney Pinardi both residents of Longboat Key.
She was the daughter of Betty Jo (Mullins) Elmore and Donald Gene Elmore both (deceased) of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves a number of cousins, nephews and nieces in the Oklahoma area. Elaine was born in Oklahoma City on August 11, 1948 and lived there most of her early adult life. Then in September 1974, she met her future husband (from Boston) who was working in Oklahoma City at the time. The attraction and union was immediate and Elaine moved to Boston, MA in October of 1974 and the following September 6, 1975 they were married in Concord, MA.
Elaine was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing (Oklahoma City) in 1969. She was Registered Nurse practicing for almost 15 years then in 1982, she moved into the field of Real Estate sales as a licensed Broker with a successful career covering over 28 years. She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid book reader and she loved going to the beach. Elaine had a positive spirit and attitude that was infectious as well as the ability to make friends easily. She loved to bake and would always sing while baking. Her favorite flower was the Sunflower. She was a lover of cats and dogs, and her favorite dog was Chester.
After over 40 years living in Boston Elaine and Mark decided to retire to Longboat Key in May of 2020. She would always refer to her new home each morning as “another beautiful day in Paradise”.
The family has requested instead of sending flowers to please direct donations to the American Lung Association in support for COPD Research.
A visitation for Elaine will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A reception will occur Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
