Elisa Abatangelo, 81, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, passed away August 11, 2011 at home under the care of Tidewell Hospice. She was born on March 20, 1930 in Gazzo, Italy and moved to the United States from Cavaria, Italy.
Elisa was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; a daughter, Miagrazia; and two sons, Rocco and Gaetano.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elvira and Frank Montone of Lakewood Ranch, FL; three sisters, Esterina Milani, Carmela Zeni and Valeria Giacon, all of Italy; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Melissa and Ryan Shaffer of Sarasota, FL; granddaughters, Vanessa and Danielle Montone of Lakewood Ranch, FL and great granddaughter, Isabella Shaffer of Sarasota, FL.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Lakewood Ranch with entombment following at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park, Sarasota.
