Ernie is survived by four daughters, Jennifer Forchetti, Kristin Feltus (Richard), Kimberly Forchetti, and Elena Everhart (Jonathan); his six grandchildren Carter, Gavin, Grant, Violet, Donna Grace, and Ava Claire; his brother Michael Forchetti (Melanie); and his two sisters Gloria Wesley (Robert) and Helene Casinelli (John).
Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Donna Forchetti of 27 years and his parents Michael and Gloria Forchetti.
Ernie was a 1973 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School where he met his future wife, played football, and was on the track team.
Ernie’s career included many years working in videography, photography, and information technology.
Ernie was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and spent several years as part of the Knights of Columbus.
Ernie was a family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He was always making those around him laugh and he treasured taking family photos to capture lasting memories. Ernie was a proud Italian, loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, swimming in his pool, greatly enjoyed relaxing at the beach, and was an avid sports fan.
A visitation for Ernie will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St Patrick Catholic Church, 7900 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34241. A committal service will follow at 2:30 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
