

away in Venice, Florida on March 11, 2024, at the age of 61 after a long illness.
Glenn was born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 10, 1962 to the late Joy R. Reeve and John W. Reeve,
presently of Avon. He lived and worked in Connecticut until retiring to Siesta Key, Florida in 2021.
Glenn grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School in 1980. He spent most of his
career as a pipefitter with United Association Local 777 Plumbers and Pipefitters, working on large
construction projects and power plants. He was a proud union member.
Glenn had a large circle of friends in both Connecticut and Florida. He was a member and Past President
of the Burlington Men’s Club and active at the American Legion Post in Old Saybrook. He loved to cook
for large groups, and put his talents to good use for both organizations. He loved the outdoors, especially
fishing, hunting and boating. Glenn lived aboard his boat “Good News” in Old Saybrook for many years.
Glenn battled his illness with everything he had. He always closed his messages with “Keep the faith, I
am.”
Glenn was predeceased by his beloved mother, Joy R. Reeve, and is survived by his father John W. Reeve
and brothers Robert (Susan) Reeve, Edward (Dorothy) Reeve and Richard (Judith) Reeve. Glenn is also
survived by nieces and nephews Rebecca (Domenic) Scarano, Allison (Ryan) Wilson, William (Marissa)
Reeve, Kristen (Kevin) Quirk, Benjamin Reeve and Bridghid Reeve, and several grandnieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his aunts and uncles Gail Shirley, Sandra Robinson, James and Carole Reeve and
Trudy and William Carroll, and numerous dear cousins and special friends, especially Charlene MacNeal,
who cared for him during his illness. Glenn’s family is very appreciative of Charlene’s care and concern
for him.
Glenn was also predeceased by his uncles George Shirley, Robert Reeve and Robert Robinson, and his
aunt Susan Reeve. He was very close with late grandparents Robert Robinson, Edna Robinson, William
Reeve and Gertrude Reeve, and spoke of them often.
There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 3 Mountain Road,
Farmington, Connecticut 06032 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 with Father George Roberts
