Gumercindo B. Lopez

Gomer was born on October 9th, 1949 in the Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Apolonia; his children Franz and Ciara; and his grandchildren Sophia and Alonso. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Cedric.

He was the pillar of his family. He was a great provider that prioritizes others before himself. He showed his love and care by being of service in anyway he can. Seeing people around him happy gave him joy and content throughout his well-lived life.

His selflessness extended to everyone. He has not forgotten his relatives and friends in the Philippines despite moving to the United States in 2007. He remembered to always keep in touch and made sure to provide assistance in anyway he can in spite of the distance between them. He treated the people he met in the US the same way. He considered them as extended family to whom he shared his overflowing generosity and kindness.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family invites you to celebrate Gomer's life. A visitation will be held Friday, June 27th, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms, Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232 with a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
