Jacqueline Astbury Egan, age 76 of Sarasota, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She was born on May 17, 1939 in Liverpool, England to Jack and Doris Astbury. In her younger years, Jacqueline travelled the world as a Pan American Flight Attendant. It is in her travels that she met her husband, Ray Egan. Jacqueline worked as a teacher/speech pathologist for the Sarasota School System. She enjoyed travelling, reading, listening to music, and was an avid crossword solver. Recently, she selflessly volunteered her time to help Alzheimer’s patients, and she was involved with the Cat Depot. Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; and her sister, Jill Cooper. She is survived by her son, Michael (Lori) Egan; her daughter, Michelle Egan; her grandchildren, Ava and Liam; and her sister Judith Park. Per Jacqueline’s wishes, there are no services scheduled.
