

She was a graduate of Peekskill High School in 1939.
Jo worked for Grand Union Supermarkets in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was an Office Manager for the Jewish Community Center in Poughkeepsie, and she retired as a Shipping Supervisor for DeLaval Separator Company also in Poughkeepsie.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, knitting and crocheting. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Mottola and Angela Manganiello; her husband, Emanuel E. Urbano; and sister, Rose D’Alessandro.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Caroline) Urbano, TX; Virginia Urbano Lloyd, FL; Angela (Joseph) Aiello, NY. Grandchildren, Catrina (Chris) Urbano Douglas, CO; Heather (Alex) Urbano Milan Young, England; E.J. Urbano, TX; Stephanie Jo Urbano, England; Brian (Samantha) Kurlychek, MA; Jennifer (Paul) McDaniel, OH; Jason (Cherie) Kurlychek, OH; Rachel (Ryan) Wade, NY; Lindsay (Evan) Washington, FL. Great-grandchildren, Nathanial (Jamie) Douglas; Caleb Douglas; Aidan Milan; Kirsty Young; Esella Serrano Urbano; A.J., Andy and Tommy Kurlychek; Jack, Madeline and Sammy McDaniel; Kendall and Rylie Wade. Jo also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Josephine will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. Following the graveside service will be a reception from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
