Juan Alfonso Quintero, 88 years old of Sarasota, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Colombia, South America and migrated to New York in the early 1960s. He worked for Pan American Airlines at Kennedy Airport in New York and was actively involved in supporting global ministries.
While on his journey, he ministered to prisoners through his work as a Chaplain at the Manatee County Jail. He served as a translator at Billy Graham crusades and authored a book, “En La Cruz Hice Provision Suficiente” in 2005. His favorite hymn was “How Great Thou Art.”
He is survived by his daughter; Marlene Campana, his sons; Guillermo Quintero Aldana, Freddy Quintero, and David Quintero, his nine grandchildren; Marizeli, Daniel, Jonathan, Ashlee, Alex, Freddy, Melissa, Guillermo, and Rodrigo. Juan was preceded in death by his son, Oswaldo Quintero.
