Justin was born in Sarasota, Florida on September 26, 1982. He graduated from Sarasota High School. He was married to Ashley Markey on October 15, 2016.
Justin proudly served with the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue for over 17 years. He was a dedicated, respected member of the department. Throughout his career, he exemplified professionalism, commitment to public service, and a deep caring for the community and his fellow firefighters. He also worked with his brother at Ultimate Service and Maintenance. Justin had a passion for travel, skiing, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Justin is survived by his wife, Ashley Markey; daughter, Autumn Markey; father, Jeffrey (Amy) Markey, mother, Deborah (Rob) Markey; in-laws, Kenneth (Debbie) Shepherd; and brothers, Ryan (Jacqui) Markey and Jake (Shyanne) Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 12, 2026, at Bayside Community Church - Lakewood Ranch Campus, located at 15800 FL-64, Bradenton, FL 34212 with burial to follow at Palms Memorial Park.
