Karen Coffey died peacefully at home on January 10, 2015 in Ellenton, FL at the age of 74. Karen is survived by her husband, James Coffey, of Ellenton, FL, her daughter, Carolyn Marchbank (Sarasota) Son in Law, Randy Marchbank (Sarasota) and grandchildren, Randall Marchbank (Sarasota), Ronald Marchbank (California) and Kara Marchbank (Arizona) and 6 great grandchildren. Karen was born on November 28, 1940 in Millersburg, OH to Kenneth and Laura Jayne Carter.
She married James Coffey in 1997. She was a volunteer mentoring disabled youth at Community Haven, assisting with Sullivan County Senior Games, and the Falcon Folk Festival near Albany, N.Y. Karen was a past chairperson for Recreation Activities at Ridgewood Meadows.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Fri., Jan., 16, 2015 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
