I just learned about the passing of KATHY and this saddens me. I met Kathy through my husband and her husband worked together and then she bought a house in our neighborhood. . I also played racquetball with her at maple courts in troy.  I lost touch when we both moved. The thing I remember most about kathy is her smile,  laugh and her warm personality. I tried to find her and sorry we did not reconnect. Prayers for her family and friends 

I was so shocked to hear of Kathie's death and want to express deepest sympathies to Bill and the rest of her family.

Kathie was one of those people who made a lasting impression; she was easy to know (and like!), fun to be with, and willing to share her knowledge with others.  I first met her at a Zebra sales meeting and we became friends almost instantly.

I will remember her kindness, warmth, empathetic nature and humor and will miss her.



I met Kathie through her sister Barbara. Kathie always greeted me with her huge smile and kind words. She was an inspiration to those that knew her. I am saddened by her passing and my thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I was so sad to hear about Kathie's passing.   Kathie and I worked closely for several years at Zebra.  She took charge, was full of hustle, and knew her stuff.  That Zebra heathcare team really felt like a team because of Kathie. I was not officially part of it but I felt like I was.  My deep condolences to her family. 

I can’t imagine this world without Kathie. She was the most amazing woman. I met her in 1973 in Clovis CA and we became great friends. She was the most kind, loving, honest and fun person I’ve ever known. I can still see her smile, hear her laugh and hear her voice. She was always concerned about the wellbeing of others and would know just what to say to encourage and uplift people. It was a privilege to be her friend. 
Bill and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for your peace and comfort and that God will sustain you during this time.

As we recover from the shocking news of Kathie’s passing, I reminisce of meeting her and Bill in ‘89 in Troy, MI. ( not Detroit per Kathie!)  when I first joined Kodak. She was my first manager. Kathie was smart, professional and fun loving as a manager and as a person.  She loved knowing something that others didn’t and I remember that knowing look in her eye when she had a scoop!

Kathie witnessed my courtship w my wife Sherrie of 27 years now and attended our wedding! I feel fortunate to of seen Kathie a few times in recent years and the last time I saw her was at the 2017 HIMSS conference and she was so excited to be retiring. Since then I have seen many FB posts indicating she was visiting friends and family and enjoying sunsets. 

I know she loved her husband Bill very much and one of her greatest assets was she was a very supportive and loyal friend. 

I will remember my friend as a competitive athlete who loved to play golf against the boys! She had a magnetic smile and a bubbly personality!

Sherrie and I convey our most sincere sympathies to Bill and their families during the difficult time. Kathie loved and was loved! Rest In Peace my friend.

I have been thinking a great deal about my friend Kathie. And while we met at work, knowing Kathie, it was part of ‘her’ to become a friend. Kathie had a unique blend of caring, knowledge and humor that made every conversation fun and connected. I was fortunate to meet her twenty years ago at Kodak, and was a newbie joining Kodak through an acquisition from 3M. People listened to Kathie, both for what she had to say and because she listened intentionally before she spoke.

My ‘friend’ Kathie was unexpected. Over the 20 years I knew Kathie, I shared about my family, work – Boston. Kathie talked about Bill, her Mom, family and extended family – but is always felt like she listened more. She loved her family and took such joy at that family get-togethers. She mastered being a host to friends and family at her home, and often spoke of the traditions that she enjoyed so much.

Over time, I learned that Kathie was an avid racquetball player. In fact, there wasn’t anything that she didn’t enjoy winning when it came to competition. Yes, she was competitive.  Kathie organized Women’s Racquetball Competitive Tournaments around the U.S., and she was a champion in her groupings – playing singles and doubles. ‘Monday night’ was a racquetball night, and since we were in different time zones, I would often get a call as she ‘headed to’ or was ‘coming from’ racquetball. I will miss those Monday phone calls.

As I sat in church last night, I gave thanks for many blessings. I am blessed to have known Kathie, and my prayers are with Bill, Kathie’s sisters, nieces and nephews, family and friends. We all have the joy of remembering Kathie's smile, words of encouragement and reassurance, the cackle, and of Kathie’s friendship. 

I expect that Kathie is relaxing as she organizes the next round of Bingo for Mom. Many blessings!

I met Kathie for the first time when a company I worked for was acquired by Zebra Technologies. At that time, Kathie was synonymous with anything to do with Zebra Healthcare. 

I learned more from Kathie than anyone else I have worked with in my professional life. She accepted me and the team I led like no one else in the company did. She guided us and helped us be better. Without Kathie, I am confident there is no Zebra Healthcare Team today.  Everyone knew Kathie because of her vibrant personality and genuine level of caring for her fellow colleague. 

Kathie was fiercely loyal and she put her heart into everything she did. I will miss her quick wit and sassy personality, but will remember those traits fondly whenever I find myself in a situation where she would have stood next to me before she retired. 

The world is a lesser place without Kathie and she will be missed by many. But, I will miss greatly too.

I am quite saddened by the news of Kathie's passing.  Kathie was a friend, a mentor and my manager at Kodak Health Group.  She was always interested in you as a person and if there was any thing she could do to help you get to where you thought you wanted to go!  Many times after a conversation with her, you came away with a feeling of "wow"  that is a much better way to view things.  She had an incredible knack with engaging people in her circle.  Her circle was huge and she touched so many peoples lives in countless positive ways!! I will miss Kathie and will think of her often as we compared our golf games at our annual RSNA and HIMSS booth meeting discussions.  For the Trotter family, I am deeply sorry for your loss but I am confident that Kathie is watching & guiding all of us from God's place of rest. 

A great friend, colleague, mentor and trail blazer for so many, Kathie had a way of “lighting up the room” when she entered.  She was so intelligent and caring…her customers loved, trusted and respected her.  She was always so positive and supportive to me, and had a gentle way to help me change course when I would get off track.

My heart goes out to Bill and her family.  We were all enriched in our own lives to have known her, and may she rest in peace.


Kathy was a good friend, like a sister to me always with a smile, positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor. Kathy knew her purpose, enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. She will be remembered and missed by me and all who knew her. My heart goes out to family for their tremendous loss.

I first met Kathleen in Rochester NY at the Kodak training centre for new sales people. Bright, cheerful, warm and compassionate was all found in her opening smile. Her love of golf and good wine started way before this and remained with her. The love of her mother was strong and now she will be joining her in her place beside her in heaven. She will be missed in more ways than can be imagined 

My I heart goes out to Bill, Kathie’s sisters and extended family in their loss.  I’m sure you’ll hear many stories from those who stood in the hallways of her life. We express sympathy and share our stories ... hoping to convey the numerous ways that the ripples of her life impacted our own. 

Kathie had been working as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at the old Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California only 3 mos before I joined her in 1972. Kathie, Israel and I worked closely together for years. Through the years, we advanced through varied positions within the department but never strayed far from each other.  We were far more than friends and coworkers ... we were comrades joined in spirit and heart.  

Even after Kathie’s career took her down other life paths, we kept in touch. I can still hear her voice (and distinctive accent) and her laugh. She was full of life and touched the lives of many.   I am thankful for memories of yesteryear and know that in our hearts she lives on.


I worked with Kathy for about 10 years at EK Company.  She always was smiling and approachable.  She loved fun but also appreciated the seriousness of the responsibility she had as a leader.  She was respected and was there to help whenever called upon.  I was shocked and saddened to get the news of this very strong and intelligent women who made her way to success in many ways.  May you rest in peace dear Kathy. 

I met Kathy when she worked for Eastman Kodak Co. so I have known her for many years. She was an amazing person and always full of life, laughter and compassion.  My condolences to her family. I'm sure God has His arms wrapped around her.

I've known Kathy since 1968 when we both attended the Radiologic Technology program at MUSC in Charleston, SC.  
Kathy's infectious laugh is one of my best memories of her.   The class of 1970 recently had a reunion and caught up on all that had been happening in each other's lives.  Many great memories.  
I wish to extend my sympathy to Bill and the rest of Kathy's family.  God bless you all.  Thank you for sharing Kathy with us.

I have known Kathy for many, many years. We went to Blessed Sacrament for 5th grade,  then Bishop England High, and then we went to MUSC together.  I was in Bill & Kathie's wedding. We have stayed good friends over the years, and we tried to get together at least once a year.  I received the nicest Birthday card from Kathie and Bill on Monday, the day she died. If Kathie had died on December 18th, I would have never been able to celebrate again.
To Bill, Noreen, Charlene and Barbara, all of her nieces and nephews, and her cousins, please know that I am grieving with you and sending thoughts and prayers to heaven above!

I worked with kathie for awhile at zebra and there are so many words for her - mentor, advisor, confident, expert, but of those friend comes to mind the most. She always stayed in touch. Always asked after your welfare.  She will be sorely missed. 

I worked with Kathie at Zebra Technologies for many years and she helped start our healthcare business.  I loved her dearly as we all did at Zebra and she returned that love many times over.  She taught us how to sell to healthcare and how important it was to get it right.    

Kathie was a mentor, a professional and she always greeted you with a smile and a positive energy that would make your day.    I can still hear her laugh and see her walking a mile a minute.  She was the most positive person I have ever met.   She was as kind as she was headstrong, and she proved every day that you didn’t have to have a title to be a leader.  

My sincere condolences to all of Kathie’s siblings, nieces and nephews, and to Bill.  We are all fortunate to have had such a great lady in our lives 

My heartfelt sympathy to Kathie’s family. We met as we started to x-ray school at MUSC in Charleston, S.C. She was a sweet  girl,  fun and loved to laugh.  I am happy I had the opportunity to know her. She will be missed by many. Prayers and God’s blessings for all.  Daphene Tolson Wrenn
