Keith was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Gerald and Kathryn Hautly on July 17, 1982. He graduated from Richmond Hill High School in Richmond Hill, GA, in 2000.
For the last 20 years, Keith had a successful career as an automotive shop manager/master technician/business owner of H3 Automotive and Performance, Inc., in Bradenton— the Hautly family’s business.
In 2010, Keith was selected as the third NAPA AUTO PARTS Honorary Crew Member of the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series at the 41st annual NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.
He also dedicated many years and seasons as a softball coach for Miss Sarasota Softball, which he loved being apart of. He was proud to be out there on the fields, helping the girls improve and excel every time they stepped onto the field. The best part for him was being able to coach his daughters, Kayla and Ona, since they were in elementary school.
As a devoted and proud family man, Keith’s “Happy Place” was at home with his family. He loved (and looked forward to) hanging out, listening to music, and having BBQs. Keith had a passion for cars and loved to go fast. He had this extraordinary knack for being able to fix almost anything— especially when it came to working on cars.
In 2018 he met the love of his life, whom he later married in 2020. Soon after, Keith and Niki welcomed their two children they share together— Charley, and Keith Jr. Keith was so excited to have a son to carry on his name, and loved the fact that he could put “Sr.” at the end of his name. His family was everything to him, his #1, and he’d often say how blessed he felt to have created such an amazing family.
Keith had the ability to light up a room, whether it be from his friendly and outgoing nature,
Dad-jokes, fun personality, or his genuine smile. Keith loved to help people, and it would come as no surprise if he gave someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. That was just how Keith was; A very strong, loving, and selfless man who will be forever missed and forever loved.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Gerald Hautly. He is survived by his wife, Nicole Hautly, his children, Kayla, Ona, Charley, and Keith Jr, and his brother, Erik Hautly (Stacey).
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Keith on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Potter Building (Sarasota Fairgrounds), from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., casual attire.
