

Louis Lacivita of Lakewood Ranch, FL passed away January 27, 2025 at the age of 81 after an extended illness. He was born June 8, 1943 to Merino Lacivita and Elaine (Cellio) Lacivita in Youngstown, Ohio. He is predeceased by his sister Constance J. Raupach and is survived by his wife Margo (Miller) Lacivita and sons Louis R. (Bob) Lacivita (Kelly) and Joel A. Lacivita, nieces Heidi Steiner, Susan Landers, nephews Jerry Raupach and Robert Raupach, and cousins Elmer Depiero, Ronald Thomas, Joanne Tisone, Linda Edwards, and Elaine Lorelli.
Lou graduated from Marquette University where he and Margo met in 1961 as college freshmen and began a devoted union that spanned over 63 years. Lou was an entrepreneur always looking for innovative ways to solve a problem. Being an independent individual, he formed three separate corporations that provided environmental design consultation to supply water and wastewater treatment equipment to municipalities and industries for their water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Lou was an avid sportsman and competitor. He excelled at basketball, tennis and golf. He loved to sing, dance and tell jokes. Those who knew Lou will remember him for his magnetic and charismatic personality. He loved being with people. No one was a stranger for long. His smile and laughter were contagious.
Lou’s life can be defined by his steadfast love for his family. Although he travelled a great deal, he was always anxious to get home as soon as possible. He was extremely proud of his sons and wife and all they accomplished. He continually encouraged them to follow their dreams.
Lou lived life to the fullest, always wanting to see everyone happy, enjoying themselves and achieving all they could by giving support and confidence to all their endeavors.
Lou’s open, fun-loving spirit will be sadly missed. May his memory bring comfort to all that knew and loved him.
