Louise Taylor

March 30, 1926 - December 9, 2012

Louise was the first born child of Carl Willard Stacy (1903 - 1989) and Dena May Bosley (1905 - 1990) in Emerson Township, Gratiot County, Michigan on March 30, 1926. She passed away at the age of 86 on Sunday evening the 9th of December at home with her daughter, Janet, at her side.

She was married to Harlan Robert (Bob) Taylor (1927 - 2012) on April 12th 1947 in Alma, Michigan and they had three children, Thomas Herbert Taylor, Janet Kay 'Taylor' Warfield and Nancy Louise 'Taylor' Coffin.

In the spring of 1957 the family traveled to Osprey, Florida to visit her in-laws for spring break from their home in Michigan. Robert ended up getting a job while they were there at the old Packard garage (West Coast Motors) and the family stayed in Florida.

In 1962, with her youngest child in school, Louise went to work for the Richmond Construction company of Sarasota as a bookkeeper. Over the years she worked her way up to the Controller position of this large construction company. She retired in 1988 from Ryan Homes the successor to Richmond Construction.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Bob Taylor (1927 - 2012) her daughter Nancy Coffin (1956 - 1988) and two of her sisters, Vivian Ruth Church (1933 - 2003) and Eva May Rockafellow (1936 - 1989). She is survived by a sister Doris Fern Wolford and a brother Carl Willard Stacy, as well as, her son Thomas H. Taylor, grandson Andrew Robert Taylor, granddaughters Kristina 'Kris' Louise Taylor 'Byrnes' and Laura Ann Taylor, daughter Janet Kay Warfield, grandsons Anthony Brian Warfield, Robert Douglas Warfield, Nicholas Harlan Coffin and Brian Clare Coffin. She also had six great grandchildren, Jonathan Coy, Elizabeth Rachel Anne Coy, Tiffany Amber Warfield, Elle Marie Taylor, Owen Patrick Taylor Byrnes and Luke Winters Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Sunday the 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home at 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota and 10:00 AM on Monday, December 17 with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church, 7601 Clark Road, Sarasota.
