On March 19, 2022, Lynn Fuhr passed peacefully surrounded by her immediate family at their home in Nokomis, FL at the age of 63. Lynn was born in Hamilton, Ontario on April 21, 1958. With 7 siblings, her childhood was always lively and vibrant. She is survived by siblings Danny, Deborah, Glenn, Charmaine, Texas, and Joann and preceded in death by sister Arlene and parents Aline and Robert Henderson.
In 1970, Lynn moved to Florida and in 1979 met the love of her life, her doting husband, Jim. They wed in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1980 and a few years thereafter had their daughters, Stephanie Aline and Brittany Virginia. A family matriarch is where Lynn found her ultimate purpose. She was a wife and mother first and foremost, always creating precious memories with her loving family.
Her marriage with Jim was one for the books - admirable, unabashedly loving, and inspirational. They were a couple you couldn’t miss - Jim a towering 6’6 to Lynn’s petite 5’0. Whether it was a trip to the Bahamas, boating, or an easy day at home, the pair was always happy, so long as they were together.
In motherhood, Lynn was known by her daughters for being the epitome of selfless, patient, fun-loving, enthusiastically present, and a beacon of advice and affection. The three were best friends. By both family and friends, Lynn was described to always find the good in people, not a single negative thing about another to be heard. She was a loyal, fun friend and all who knew her agreed that she thrived in the kitchen. Lynn's cooking, with no exceptions, was fantastic, comforting, and simply put: special.
Lynn is immeasurably missed. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jim, and adoring daughters Stephanie (Justin James) and Brittany (Eric Sievers). Donations in her name can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center.
