

Mark graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1978, but chose to stay with United Parcel Service where he worked for 32 years. Mark enjoyed his work and the friends he made at UPS.
Mark was always a happy, fun loving man. He will be remembered by his sense of humor and how he loved to make others laugh. Mark was a storyteller. He was devoted to his family and was immensely proud of them. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed golf and cruising.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Claire Ungaro Carswell; son, Mark (Michaela) Carswell, daughter, Nicole (Niklaus) Carswell; grandson, Forrest and granddaughters, Carmen, Freya and Eleanora; his brothers, Luke, (Beth) Carswell of Brewerton, NY, John (Lisa) Carswell of Clayton, NC; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Eleanor Carswell, as well as his brothers, Matthew and Jude, and his in laws, Carmen and Barbara Ungaro.
A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held sometime in the near future in New York for the family.
The family is requesting that donations in his name be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, MBC-FOUND, Tampa, FL 33612.
