Marsha Joan Johnson

in her Sarasota home with her family by her side.

Marsha was born March 23,1949 in Youngstown Ohio. She married her high

school sweetheart James Johnson of Sarasota Fl. They had the fairy tale marriage

that we all dream of for 53 years. She had 3 wonderful children and 4

grandchildren who were the love of her life.

Marsha was described by her children as a perfectionist, a true superwomen.

She lived a very active life which included PTO president, Girl Scout leader, Junior

League of Sarasota member, St. Johns United Methodist church member, Sunday

school teacher, and a very active parent of her children on the Sarasota YMCA

Sharks swim team. As her children aged Marsha started her career at Plymouth

Harbor as a MDS coordinator where she worked for 32 years. She loved her work

family and brought smiles to all whom she worked along side of each day.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents Homer Hewitt and Elizabeth P.

Hewitt.

She is survived by her husband James Johnson Sr. of Sarasota; brother

Gordon Hewitt of Ohio; children, Holly Johnson, Jodi Riggs (Buddy), Jimmy

Johnson (Crystal); her grandchildren, Brandon Riggs, Trevlyn Riggs, Lauren

Johnson and Saxton Riggs.

Marsha (Ma, Sha-Sha) will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who

were touched by her.

The Family will be holding a celebration of life on February 21, 2022 at 11A.M.
