She was born Jan. 28, 1933 in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of Edwin and Hilda Niedenthal. Mary Lou graduated from Muncie Center High School and Ball State University. She was a proud charter member of the Kappa Kappa – Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at Ball State. Mary Lou was a business high school teacher, a loving wife and mother, and was active at St. Marys Muncie and the Muncie community for many years. After retirement she and her husband Bill retired to Sarasota, Florida and was a long time volunteer at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Historic Spanish Point, Doctors Hospital, Incarnation Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Aux in Sarasota.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill of Sarasota, three children; Linda Hilliard (Max) of St. Petersburg, Carolann Solley (Ed) of Orlando, Ron Huber (Julie) of Seattle and four grandchildren, Sarah, Hayden, Emily and Parker.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at Incarnation Catholic Church, Sarasota, Florida. Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1 pm.
Family and Friends are welcomed to join the Memorial Mass with a short reception to follow.
