Born on March 14, 1937, in Hopkinsville, KY, she was the cherished daughter of Vernon and Ruby Thomas. A proud Southerner, Mary Ann carried the warmth of her southern roots wherever she went, practicing an open and friendly manner to everyone she met. While she was naturally shy, reserved, and valued a structured, conservative life, she was fiercely and unconditionally devoted to her children.

She made the holidays truly magical, creating a warm, welcoming home filled with laughter and loved ones. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling and visiting family.
