Papa Noe is survived by his beloved wife, Patria (Attie) of 64 years, three children, Nancy Rodriguez Brandt (Thomas), David Rodriguez (Alicia), and Noe/Roddy Rodriguez (Dale). Papa Noe is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Brandt, Catherine Peretti, David Matthew and Natalie Rodriguez, Emily, Geoffrey, and Stuart Rodriguez, as well as four great grandchildren, Alexander, Daisy, Sebastian, and Charles.
Noe Rodriguez was born Lajas, Puerto Rico, on May 29, 1930, educated at the Polytechnic Institute of Puerto Rico. He served as an officer of the US Army for 23 years, where his various assignments all over the world, including service in the Korean and Vietnam wars, enlisted his many skills. He functioned as an Intelligence officer and mathematician, an infantry soldier, and an artillery officer for most of his career. His final military assignment was at Homestead Air Force Base where he retired from a military career. Post retirement, he was a professor of mathematics at the University of Miami, a CLU insurance agent with Mutual of NY, and then a certified financial and investment planner. He and his wife retired in 2008 to live at The Glenridge at Palmer Ranch, a move that they found so pleasantly enriching in these twilight years, because of the many beautiful friends that they held in high esteem.
There will be Eulogies starting at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial of Our Lady of the Angels, 12905 E State Rd 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 at 10am on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Immediately following the mass, there will be a full military honor guard on the parish grounds.
