Pamela Miller Schroeder

On Monday August 25th, 2025, Pamela "Pam" Schroeder (Miller) passed away unexpectedly but peacefully during a medical procedure at the age of 74. She was a loving mother, amazing nana, great sister, fantastic aunt, and best friend to so many.

Pam was born on December 5th, 1950, in St John's New Brunswick, Canada. In 1955 they moved to the USA and grew up in the Churchville Chili and Rochester New York area. She was the daughter of late Richard "Dick" and late Virginia "Ginny" Miller. She was the oldest of four and as a child she loved ice skating and being around her friends. Pam attended Corning Community College and graduated in 1971 with a registered nursing degree. She started working right away at Genesee Hospital as well as at the Westgate Nursing Home. She was at the hospital until she moved to Florida in 1984.

In 1975 Pam married her late former husband, Lane Schroeder Sr, and had two beautiful children together. The summer of 1984 she moved to Florida with her children so she could be closer to her family. She raised her children in Bradenton, FL. Pam worked at the Sarasota County Health Department from 1984 until she retired in December 2015. During her nursing career she worked in several different areas such as in the emergency room, home health, pediatrics, supervisor over pediatrics and finished her career in obstetrics (OB). She had so much care and compassion for her patients throughout her nursing career she received several awards.

The summer of 2016 Pam moved to Parrish so that she could be closer to her daughter and grandson. On her down time, she enjoyed going to the beach, reading a great book, crocheting beautiful blankets, finding a good auction or garage sales, antiquing and watching football. Her family was her whole world, and she would do anything and everything for them no matter what time of the day it was. Pam loved spending time with her family, friends that became family and enjoyed vacations. If she wasn't on a vacation, she was planning the next one. She had a beautiful smile, could light up the room and was so full of life.

Pam is survived by her son, Lane (Misti) Schroeder Jr; her daughter Daina ("Rusty") Baker; her grandsons Benjamin Patterson and Lane Schroeder III; her granddaughter Olivia Schroeder; her sister Tanya Carlsen; her brother Kevin Miller; three nephews and several cousins.

Pam is preceded by her father "Dick" Miller; her mother "Ginny" Miller; her brother Bradely Miller Sr; and former husband Lane Schroeder.

Following Pam's wishes, a private scattering of her ashes will take place at her favorite beach and vacation spot at a later date.
