Patricia Ann Clark, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026 at the age of 64. Born on April 19, 1961, Patty grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts, one of five children and a proud twin to Paula Jean.
Patty and Paula shared a lifelong bond that was unmistakable — twin intuition, shared laughter, and a closeness that never wavered. While their personalities were uniquely their own, they complemented each other beautifully. Patty carried a playful spark and a glimmer of mischief in her eye, always quick to make the people around her laugh.
A true New Englander, Patty spent most of her life in Massachusetts, rooted near Boston and spending summers on Peddocks Island in Boston Harbor. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and carried her hometown pride with her always. As the natural caretaker of her family, she consistently put her own needs aside to make others more comfortable. Whether bringing her Uncle Don clean clothes or delivering her father a black-and-white malt from Friendly’s, Patty showed her love through thoughtful, quiet acts of service. She was always looking out for everyone else.
Patty attended Boston University, earning her bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1983. She began her career at New England telephone and later worked at Verizon for 26 years before retiring in 2012. She approached her work with the same reliability that defined her life.
In 2013, Patty’s greatest dream came true when she became the mother of Brooke Ellen. For the past twelve years, she embraced motherhood with grace and devotion, offering Brooke a love that was steadfast, consistent, and unconditional. Co-parenting alongside Bridget, Brooke has been raised by four loving moms and will continue to be surrounded by the strong community that has always supported her.
Later in life, Patty met Jean, who quickly became her greatest love, and the two built a beautiful life together. They shared a love of travel and adventure, spending their time exploring new places and creating memories that meant the world to them both. Outside of time with her daughter, Brooke, Patty was happiest traveling with Jean, her twin sister Paula, and her best friend Kathy. She loved live music and would travel any distance for a concert. Her favorites included Tina Turner, Elton John, and Coldplay—experiences that became treasured memories.
Patty’s character was defined by kindness, fairness, steadiness, and unwavering loyalty. She was known for her infectious laugh, her terrible dance moves, and her enveloping hugs. She lived with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility. Even in her final days, she made sure every detail was tended to. True to who she was, she faced life, and its ending, with strength, clarity, and love.
Patty is survived by her loving wife, Jean Johnson; her daughter, Brooke Ellen Clark-Bancs; her twin sister, Paula Clark; her brother, Ken (Annie) Clark; her nieces Cindy (Brett) Bigelow and Lauren (Tim) Eggert; and her nephew Jonathan (Daniela) Clark. She was preceded in death by her siblings William (Robin) Clark III and Donna (Tom) Gherna, and by her parents, William and Doris Clark.

Her strength, humor, and loyalty will be carried forward by all who knew her.
