Ray Gordon Kastor, age 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was born July 30, 1932 in Live Oak, Florida to the late Wilbur Kastor II and Eula (nee Setzer) Kastor.
Ray worked for the Sarasota County School system. Ray enjoyed gardening, playing horseshoes, corn hole and fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Cashmore Kastor; loving children, Bonnie Danielo Sharp, Frances Ann Masterson, Kathern Lea Mixon (Don), Donnie Gordon Kastor (Kathy), Ronnie Gordon Kastor and Marilyn Kastor (CJ). Ray also leaves behind his brother, Clifford Kastor and sisters, Sheila Gardner, Bobbie Green, Louise Turner, Judy Gaskin, Rena Cross and Jannette Ratzslaffe; David's significant other, Ada Slack; 14 cherished grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. His son, David Ray Kastor, and brothers, Marvin, Jesse, Robert, and Wilbur Kastor III precede Ray in death.
A graveside service with military honors will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
Ray was loved dearly, and will be missed by all.
