
Carol was born in Putnum County, North Carolina, to Earl and Jane Norman on December 19, 1935. Carol was the youngest of six siblings. She graduated from Walstonburg High School in 1954 and attended trade school to become a secretary. Carol married Wayne G. Daniels on March 3, 1956, at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. Together they had three children (Susan, Patty, and Larry).
Carol traveled all over the United States as a homemaker for their children. After Wayne’s retirement in 1972, the family moved to Sarasota, Florida. Carol was involved in the Colonial Gables Homeowners Association as the Treasurer and Newsletter Publisher for many years. She was also a volunteer clinical nurse at Brentwood Elementary and McIntosh Middle School, and had a passion for cooking, gardening, nature, puzzles, and anything Christmas.
Carol is survived by her husband Wayne, children Susan Brown (Curtis), Patty Snyder-Atkin, and Larry Daniels (Chris), 4 grandchildren, Heather, Daniella, Jonny, and Josaphine, 2 great-grandchildren, McKenna and Alina, and many other relatives.
Carol’s legacy of kindness, respect, and servitude towards all who knew her will be treasured. Her home was always a place of warmth and love.
Funeral arrangements will be held on May 25, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota.
