Sandra Smith Buehler

She was born in Utica, NY in 1943 to Jane Bradshaw Smith and Harold Clayton Smith. She has one sister Judy Smith Shoemaker of Sarasota, FL.

Sandra attended Virginia Intermont College, University of Georgia, and Santa Fe Community College. She graduated with a RN degree. Sandra was a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She started her career as a registered nurse in a private practice for several years before working as the school nurse at Sarasota High School for over 20 years.

One of her passions was being a cheerleading coach at Sarasota High. Even after her retirement she supported the high school and attended many of their games and events.

Sandra was a proud mother and grandmother of two children and four grandchildren. She tremendously enjoyed watching them play sports and spending time together.

Sandra is survived by her two children Bruce Alan Buehler Jr. (Molly) of Tallahassee and David Bradshaw Buehler of Spanish Fort, AL; four grandchildren, John Buehler, Trey Buehler, Lauren Buehler, Brooks Buehler and her sister Judy Smith Shoemaker.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am, followed by A Celebration of Life and reception at 11 am at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
