Sandra Osborne

Sandra is survived by her son, Matthew Osborne of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Olivia Osborne of Pittsburgh; sisters - Lois Johns McVay (Raymond) of North Port, Florida; and Sharon Johns Roy (Gary) of Nokomis, Florida; nieces, Michelle Ireland (Pat) of North Port, Florida and Serena McVay of Port Charlotte, Florida; nephews Christopher Roy (Terri) of Rutledge, Tennessee and Bryan Roy (Christie) of Valdosta, Georgia and many more nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Johns, Jr. and her mother, Helen F. Johns, of Sarasota; sister, Patricia Johns Anthony, brother-in-law, Carl "Tony" Anthony and a nephew, William Anthony both of Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Sandra was born June 17, 1949 in Sarasota, Florida and had graduated from Sarasota High School in 1967. After a brief stay in Jacksonville, Florida, she moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sandra's career was in retail sales which she absolutely loved, and as a result earned many awards that showcased her skills. The scope of her career included Gimbles Department Store, Dream Water Beds, Silo Electronics and Sears.

Sandra’s family and friends will always remember her as a beautiful, happy person that embraced life to the fullest. She was a very social and active person and loved to laugh. Her hobbies included singing, bowling and cooking.

The service will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 11:00 am at Palms Memorial Park on Fruitville Rd in Sarasota. Pastor Gary Roy of Colonial Oaks Baptist Church, Sandra’s brother-in- law, will officiate.

Family and friends will gather at the main lobby at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at 11:00 am. There will be a graveside service. Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to join in the reception hall for a light lunch and to sign the guest book.
