Stavros Evangelos Panagiotakis

September 18, 1965 – July 19, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Stavros Panagiotakis (Steve the Greek), who died peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 59.

Born on September 18, 1965, in Chios, Greece, Steve later made his home in Bradenton, Florida. He was a man defined by his fierce devotion to family, unwavering generosity, and a tireless work ethic that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Steve was the beloved husband of Victoria Panagiotakis, and a proud father to Jordan Campanella, Maria Panagiotakis, and Evan Panagiotakis. His love extended across generations — he was a cherished grandfather to Kaydon, August, Aila, Hunter, Mercedes, and Noah, and a doting great-grandfather to Archer and Maverick.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Evangelos and Angeliki Panagiotakis, whose values he carried forward in every aspect of his life.

Steve was immensely proud of his work and accomplishments, particularly as a leader at Bright Future Electric, a company that reflected his vision, determination, and commitment to excellence. He deeply loved his Bright Future Electric work family, and the relationships he built there were among the most meaningful in his life. Through his work and in his personal life, he lived to help others — always stepping in to support those in need, offering wisdom, strength, and a helping hand without hesitation.

His passions in life included working with many local charitable organizations, helping others, spending time with family, and embracing each day with a deep love for life. He brought warmth, purpose, and connection to everything he did.

To know Steve the Greek was to feel seen, heard, and cared for — and that gift will never be forgotten.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with profound love.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 7671 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota FL 34243 followed by a private interment in Palms Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:30 AM at the church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the main ballroom at Grove Lakewood Ranch, 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch. (Hor d'oeuvres and cash bar)
