Steven Grissom, age 60, of Sarasota, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was born on May 16, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN to Paul and Joan Grissom, and spent his first eight years of his life there. Steve moved with his family to Sarasota, Florida in 1970, where he grew up and graduated from Bradenton Christian School.
Steve loved spending time with family, friends and of course his dogs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling in his free time. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Joan Grissom; Grandparents, Howard and Jessie Simmons, and Leonard and Lucy Grissom.
Steve is survived by his brothers, Scott and Samuel Grissom; his niece Heather Boswell; his nephew Chad Grissom; great nephews Hunter Boswell, River Grissom and Knox Grissom; and by several cousins and other family and friends.
A gathering of family & friends for Steven will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A celebration of life service will occur from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
