

Arlene Denise Blalock, 53, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. Arlene was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1962 and was the first of four daughters to her surviving parents James & Ruth Miller of Tucson; AZ. Arlene is survived by her sister Charlotte Smith of Tucson, AZ. Charlotte’s husband Doug and their 3 sons, Brian, Matthew & Andrew, Her sister Beth Bain of Vail, AZ. Beth’s husband Rick and their 2 sons Derek & Bryce and her youngest sister Diane McGar of Tucson, AZ and her partner of many years Peter Rollins.
Arlene graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico in 1980 and later earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Arizona in 1985. Arlene was an accountant with Rachel Duckett-Marotta, CPA & Hilby-Wilson in Phoenix, AZ. Arlene & Rachel worked together for over 30 years.
Arlene’s legacy of life & love has been passed down through her husband of 32 years Charles Ray Blalock and her children and grandchildren, her son Tristan Adam Blalock, daughter in law Leslie and their son Shea of Queen Creek, AZ, and her daughter Courtney Elizabeth McLean, son in law Kenny and their sons Jackson & Woodrow of Queen Creek, AZ. Arlene’s love in life can be easily summed up in one word, FAMILY. She loved her parents, her sisters and their families with all her heart. Arlene’s passion was her children and showed her everlasting love for them with the small things, weekly family dinners, never forgetting to say “I Love You” after every conversation or a simple kiss on the forehead when saying goodbye. Most of all she adored her grandsons, Jackson, Woody & Shea. She was never too busy to cook a meal, toast a pop tart or mix chocolate milk. Arlene didn’t just spend time with her family; she made time for her family. Arlene was our family. On March 5, 2016, Arlene was laid to rest at San Tan Memorial Gardens in Queen Creek.
