Her unconditional love, loyalty, kindness, and deep faith are an inspiration to her family and the legacy she leaves behind.
Born December 7, 1929 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Barbara’s early life and teachings from her father, Joseph Carter, and her mother, Mable Carter, helped instill the love and kindness Barbara was known for. In 1951, Barbara embarked on a new chapter, marrying the love of her life Joe Crockett and moving to Phoenix, Arizona. From the moment their paths crossed on a USO dance floor they knew they had found their soul mate. Their love story is a testament to enduring love and respect for one another. Together, they raised three boys Wayne, Kevin, and Allen. Barbara’s great pride was the raising of her family and the lasting memories they created.
Throughout her life, Barbara embraced various passions but found the most fulfillment and joy in her faith. She was a very active member of St. Marks Catholic Church. She was a tireless volunteer of 20 years at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, bingo, bunko and painting.
Barbara is survived by her son Kevin Crockett, her daughter in law Susan Crockett, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
A grave-side service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery (401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257) on January 30 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory can be made to the Phoenix Zoo https://fundraise.givesmart.com/form/aIygvA?vid=1hbx8w.
