Barbara Shaw Miller

Born October 31, 1933, in Passaic, New Jersey, Barbara lived a rich life defined by love, dedication, and strength.

She attended Pope Pius XII High School in Passaic, forming lasting friendships and a solid foundation for her future. After graduating, Barbara pursued a career in merchandising in New York City, where her creativity and style flourished.

In 1963, she married her high school classmate, Thomas Miller, embarking on a 62-year journey of love and shared experiences. In 1972, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with their three children, Bill, Charlie, and Katie.

Barbara excelled as a real estate appraiser, earning numerous accolades, and authored two books. Her warmth, grace, and devotion to family and friends left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children Katharine Sheedy (Matthew) and William Miller (Patricia); grandchildren Britton O’Keefe (Brent), Clifford, Alexandra, Matthew, Jacob, Ian, Sam, and Danny; and great-grandchildren Brayden, Bria, Gavin, and Ryan. She was predeceased by her son, Charles Miller.

A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Barbara’s memory.
