

He was raised in Millburn, NJ and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Lafayette College. He loved his alma mater and his best friends of 65 years - Ted, Artie and Bob, are fellow Leopards. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College, then completed an internship at the University of Washington and his OB/GYN residency at Stanford University where he was Chief Resident. Bruce went on to serve his country as a Major in the USAF and was stationed in Lakenheath, England.
In 1974, Bruce opened his solo medical practice in Scottsdale, AZ. During his incredible 34-year career in women’s health, he lovingly cared for thousands of patients and their babies. He also served as the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center.
In his free time, Bruce traveled to unique countries throughout the world and was an instrument-rated private pilot who enjoyed flying his Cessna on the weekends with his family and good friend Glenn. He loved the theater, live musical performances and sports (Go Diamondbacks!). He attended the Olympics three times, seven Super Bowls, two World Cup finals and two World Series. During his retirement years, he volunteered his time at St. Mary’s Food Bank, the Mesa Arts Center and the Phoenix Library.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 44 years, daughter Kelly (Kevin) Neill, son Gary (Kim) Miller, three grandchildren - Ryan Neill (24), Lauren Neill (22), and Madison Miller (19), stepson Grant Mayer and younger brother Bob (Ronnie) Miller.
Bruce was a highly respected and loved person who lived a full, adventurous and productive life. He will be dearly missed.
