Born on February 24, 1960, in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, to Harvey and Lorraine (Tanck) Beard, Bryan lived a life rooted in family, kindness, and quiet dedication.
Bryan loved warm weather and spent many summer days enjoying the sun at the beach. During the long cold winters, he discovered his passion for genealogy. He spent countless hours with his mother learning about family history, gathering stories from relatives and carefully documenting connections. At just sixteen, Bryan assembled an extensive family tree by hand, carefully lettering each name and date with rub-on transfers—a project that reflected his patience, meticulousness, and deep appreciation for his family’s history.
A 1978 graduate of Gibraltar High School, Bryan went on to earn a degree in accounting from Lakeshore Technical College in 1983. In 1986, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he began his professional career with Universal Technical Institute as an accountant. Then in 2001 Bryan moved to Bechtel, a global engineering firm, as their fixed asset accountant. He was still employed with Bechtel upon his passing.
In 1989, Bryan met George, with whom he shared the next thirty-six years. Together, they built a life filled with rental real estate, travel, shared projects, and family, making it a priority to attend as many events as they could.
Bryan was soft-spoken and private, but also approachable and welcoming. From his family foundation, he worked hard in his personal and professional life and was always kind in his words and manner. His gentle spirit and calming presence leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of many.
Bryan is survived by his devoted partner, husband, and adventure companion, George; his brothers, Wayne (Karen), Myron (Andria), and Randy (Michelle); his sister, Sandra and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lorraine Beard.
A visitation for Bryan will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM with a graveside service to follow at Green Acres Cemetery at 11:15 AM.
