Cecilia Akcay

Cecilia was born on November 23, 1974 in Guasave, Mexico to the late Hermelinda Rodriguez Higuera and Benito Casillas Cruz. As a young mother, Cecilia uprooted her life in Guasave, Mexico to raise her children in the United States. She had many passions including; cooking her amazing Albondigas, staying healthy and active in her local gym, and feeding her shopping addiction with new clothes and decor. The love for her family and God was Cecilia's reason for living. She could not go a single day without catching up and chatting with them. Her children will miss those afternoon walks and talks and countless story telling recalling their mother’s childhood. They will be sure to carry on all the life lessons she taught them, such as perseverance, making the most of every situation, and living a life filled with love.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her mother Hermelinda, sister Mario and brother Benito. She is survived by her three children Anthony, Selen and Ilkem; and many other family and friends.
