Mrs. Morris was the the Mother every child would want.  She always was cheerful and made you feel loved.  She was never too busy to give Julie,Lola and I a ride..even to and from concerts at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.  Even though she seemed to work nights she was always so pleasant..a lot like Julie. I'm very sorry for the loss of your Mom. I smile just thinking of her. To my wonderful little lady i tooked care of for 4 1/2 years and loved every minute of it.I taught you to brush your teeth,and step into bed with my help and give you confidence in yourself as you was a strong willed young lady.When i was home and got woke up for unknown reasons and when  I come to you to work the girl would tell me you were up all night and that's why i was up.Sleeping in the room next to you i would wake up and within a minute you would call me,, I loved that and After a month or so i could look at Janie and know what she needed and she always got it. When i went shopping I could never buy just for me I had to buy for her too so we could be twins. I love and miss you and have since the day the family said they were going to take care of you but you were always in my heart and prayers and someday we will meet again and you will be whole again. Mrs Morris was my second mother.  I have known the Morris family for 50 years.  I grew up around the entire family. My heartfelt sympathies go out to each and everyone of you.

I am the author of NO TIME FOR FEAR, VOICES OF AMERICAN MILITARY NURSES OF WORLD WAR II. Jane was a very important of the book, and went with me and other nurses to talk to groups of all types when the book was published. Her story of being an Army nurse in Hawaii during the war, when she met Eddie, was always popular, especially when we spoke to high school classes. I tried to keep in touch with her after the stroke, but somehow it didn't happen. She became very active with many veterans organizations in Phoenix, and was a part of the "Stand Down" for veterans which is still held at the Fair Grounds. Jane was a national officer with the WOSL, Women's Overseas Service League, in addition to the offices she held with local veteran groups. I want her family, through the generations, to remember that she was a brave army nurse, and remembered the GIs she nursed during the war as her 'boys'. She was a proud army 'brat', that is because she was raised by a father who was in the army.
Her story will always be known because it is in the book, and in our memories.
Blessings to her family, and gratitude from all the people she nursed throughout the years.

I have been a part of the Morris family for over 35 years, married to Ed, the oldest child of Jane an Eddie.  Mom has always treated me with the utmost of respect and kindness and I have loved her like my own mother. Her passing has left a viod in my life and the lives of her family.  We cherish all the memories of both her and Dad and during the past years of her life she was always there for us all.  Her stroke took away her speach but not the love you saw in her eyes when each of us greated her.  Her passing is a great personnel loss to me and I will always remember her great and giving heart. Julie and I have been friends for ten years now and every time I would go to her house, her Mother would be sitting there always acting happy and safe. She seemed like a wonderful woman and I know Julie and her family had a wonderful role model with her. God Bless always.

I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Jane and and Uncle Eddie both and all the talking and laughing when all the family would get together. I am sorry I am not able to be there with you all but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
