Doug Thorne, 45, a beloved son, brother, uncle and husband, died Wednesday, May 5th. He will be greatly missed by his family and enormous amount of friends. Doug was an avid bicyclist with his best friend Marc. Together they traveled to France to ride along with the '06 Tour de France and even met Lance Armstrong. He was an avid runner and ran in many local races including the '10 PF Chang Marathon qualifying for The Boston Marathon. Doug loved his cat "TT" and loved to travel to other countries. Additionally he was a member of Valley Presbyterian Church where he served as a Church Deacon. He is survived by his mother Anita, his sister Adrienne, his nephew Tyler, his niece Kelsey and his wife Ramona. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14th 2pm at Valley Presbyterian Church 6947 E. McDonald Dr. Paradise Valley 85253. Donations to the Valley Presbyterian Deacon Fund in honor of Doug Thorne are accepted.
