

Eugene Schwartz, 87, passed peacefully on January 5, 2015, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born on March 20, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, to loving parents Samuel and Anna Schwartz. Irene (z’l), his everlasting love for almost 55 years, was his guiding light. Gene’s extreme love and devotion to daughters Leslie, Julie, and son Jon lit up his life. As a retired Motorola electrical engineer and program manager, Gene was an avid Master Bridge player, traveled to over 50 countries, and spent many summers enjoying music in Park City, Utah. Gene was a Merchant Marine and a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He is survived by his loving daughters; Leslie Schwartz and Julie Ivanhoe (Jon), grandchildren; Navon, Miriam, and Ari Weisberg, Rebecca, Aaron, and Daniel Ivanhoe, great grand children; Samara and Pyre Weisberg; brother-in-law Richard Mendelson (Sherry); and many loving nieces and nephews.
