Evelyn Carol Speth, 73, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away on April 12, 2026. Born February 9, 1953, in Tempe, Arizona, Evelyn’s life was marked by steady devotion to those she loved, a quiet strength in the face of life’s demands, and a kindness that was offered freely and without expectation.
Evelyn attended and graduated from McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona. Her perseverance and integrity shaped the way she moved through the world—reliably, thoughtfully, and with a deep sense of responsibility.
On July 1, 1974, she married Nicolas Speth in Tempe, AZ. Nicolas preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Evelyn was known for her generous spirit and the steadfast care she extended to family and friends, meeting others with sincerity and a warm, giving heart.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Deena Vasquez, Zachary Speth, and Lesley Maroquin; her sister, Anne Stratford; her brother, David Logue; and her sister, Joyce Melby. Evelyn is also survived by her grandchildren; Aeris, Christopher, Cloud, Corrin, Titan, Caydance and Cannon and Great grandchild Leviathan Daniel Maroquin.
Visitation will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, on April 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery on April 22, 2026, at 11:00 am. Committal Service will take place at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, on April 22, 2026, at 11:30 am.
Evelyn will be laid to rest at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, Heritage Garden, Lot 259, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, with burial on April 22, 2026.
