

James Jay "Jim" Bing, age 81, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his home. Jim was born January 22, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Rufus King High School in 1957, and started his music career in 1959, singing and playing his guitar with a band called The Valients. He entered military service in the Army in 1962 - 1964, and married his sweetheart Judy, on June 20, 1964. While in the Army in Alaska, he played in a group "The Country Gentlemen." He moved to St. Louis and in 1970 moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Jim's music career blossomed in Arizona and he played "gigs" all over the southwest. Jim's music career came to an end with covid, as Jim was mainly playing for retirement, assisted living, Alzheimer's and dementia communities. He was loved by all.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy A. Bing and two children, Mike and Suzy. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loretta Bing, and a brother Allen Bing.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A rosary service will occur Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1030 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
