Jane was born to Donald and Marie Knight in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 17, 1933.
She was valedictorian of the 1951 graduating class of Shortridge High School, and went on to attend Northwestern University.
Jane enjoyed a more than 30 year career in commercial property management with Malouf Properties, but her true passions were football, classical music, and the Indy 500.
Jane is survived by her son, Terry Whitaker, and his wife Marita; her grandchild, Shaira; and her sister, Ruth Decker.
