Jean McCann of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away quietly on Sunday evening, January 10, 2016. She was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, where she also attended Rockford College Nursing School and trained at Rockford Memorial Hospital. In 1956, Jean married Lee McCann, and in 1970 they moved their family to Scottsdale. They joined Scottsdale United Methodist Church, where Jean enjoyed participating in Bible School, choir and had bells for many years. She worked as an orthopedic nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital and as a school nurse at Madison Rose Lane Elementary School. Jean loved music, baseball and books. In retirement, she volunteered at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library. She is survived by Lee, her husband of 59 years, her sons Steve, Kevin and Mike, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Jean will be held at 2:00 pm at Green Acres Mortuary – Chapel of Light: 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ. 85257 on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
