Joan Bleasdale Collum

Joan is survived by her children: Graham Collum & wife Anita, Ann Palumbo & Lloyd Rathburn, David Collum & wife Kimberly, Barry Collum & wife Terri; her grandchildren: Kara Collum LaMarca, Brianna & Joe Wheaton, Lauren & Ryan Collum, Andrea & Danny Palumbo, Stuart & Spencer Draper, Amber Collum; and several great grandchildren; her nephew John James & family; and Ken Wilkinson who was like a son to her. Memorial Service to be held at Green Acres Mortuary on July 14th from 5 to 7 pm. Joan will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetary next to her husband George on July 21st at a family-only ceremony.

Joan was born Joan Bleasdale Dilworth on June 30, 1931 at Salford, England. She worked as a dressmaker and lived in Salford until she was 21 when she met and married George Collum, a welder, on March 21, 1953 at the local Parish Church according to the ceremonies of the Church of England. They lived in England and Wales before relocating their family to Scottsdale, AZ in the United States in the late 1960’s.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, sister, Doreen, and husband, George.

Joan, a.k.a. “JB”, was a sweet and loving person with a great sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye. She leaves behind happy memories and will be greatly missed. Joan will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.
