

Karen is sadly missed by her Grandson who she adopted and raised, Bryce Henson, her mother, Margery Whiteman, her sister, brothers and sister-in-law, Jody Jameson-Theye, Eric Jameson, Michael and Nancy Jameson. She will be forever remembered by her friend and former husband, Robert Henson, her aunt, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from South High School where she continued to stay in touch with life long friends. She began her working career with The Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. On July 10,1978, Karen went on to devote 34 years working for the Department of Defense, Defense Contract Management Agency, as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. She was honored with volumes of awards, recognitions, and certifications for her hard work and dedication to our county.
Karen truly loved her weekly “Zumba” classes and the nine years she was an exercise instructor. She will always be Walking on Sun Shine.
Karen was best known for her quick-witted humor and her generous spirit. Karen’s steadfast spirit encouraged her family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles. Karen will always be known for putting the “Fun” back into dysfunctional.
She is loved by all and cherished by her many friends whose lives she touched.
Karen is preceded in death by her son, Derek Ian Henson, father, Paul Jameson, along with grandparents, Delbert and Marguerite Shipp and Ruth and Fredrick D. Jameson.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Advance HealthCare Center, A Time and A Season Group Home and Savior Hospice for their loving care in her final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, 401N. Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ.
